About Traveling Yoga Momma

![]()
In 2001, I left my home in Manchester, NH and embarked on an adventure – because I knew that it was time to step outside of her comfort zone and explore. After a long journey around the US, I decided to settle in Seattle, WA where I began my study of yoga.
In 2006, I completed the yoga teacher training program at 8 Limbs Yoga, one of Seattle’s finest yoga schools and has studied mainly with well-known local teacher and author, Melina Meza. She has also studied with Troy Lucero, Ana Forrest, Cyndi Lee, Sarah Powers and Shiva Rea. I am focused on helping students build a strong basic asana (posture) practice and linking postures together through breath awareness in order to create a dynamic, challenging flow.
I am drawn to yoga through my true nature to find flow in movement. I am also very passionate about the outdoors. Through these two passions I start my next adventure. I will traveling the United States and Canada demoing the newest portable kayak (Trak Kayak) and reviewing yoga studios on the way.
Watch my blog for reviews of top yoga studios in every city I visit. If there is a yoga studio you’d like me to visit or have any questions about yoga in general, please leave a comment on my blog or email me at michellegagne at gmail dot com.
